Great
4I was lucky enough to be able to try this product for free. This was great for masking the grey hairs I have growing through until I can get to the hairdressers. Will be making sure to pick this up again!
Easy to use
5This product was easy to use and gave a great colour and condition to the hair. I would highly recommend but would suggest more colour options. My hair is usually darker but because of lockdown it has lightened so this suited perfectly.
Amazing!
5I used this on my husband and it's brilliant! He had a lot of grey showing but now he's feeling more confident :) wish it lasted longer though lol
Lovely for in-between salon appointments
5I have been using this color gel for quite some time now. At first I would use the dark chestnut shade but wanted to keep my colour a little lighter and I love the beautiful tones it gives; hair looks super shiny and healthy! I tend to leave it on for longer than indicated (close to an hour) for good coverage and the result is beautiful. The only downside is that it lasts less than 5 shampoos I would say, but I only use a small amount each time so I still give it 5 stars!
Great grey coverage
5There are such mixed reviews for this product I was nervous to purchase!I find it does wash out over a good long time, and I am left with a faint grow-out line. I think preparation is key. I use a quality shampoo that strips my hair of any product residues first like gels or hairspray, then I towel dry. I then apply the dye to my damp hair, greys close to scalp first, then the rest. I have just shoulder length hair and one bottle lasts me several colourings as I concentrate on my grey roots and only use a little on the rest of my hair. For my in-between washes I use a no-poo shampoo which is free from sulphate, paragon and silicone and I use a no-poo conditioner which is free from all of the above too. This is significantly more gentle on your hair, so the colour lasts much longer. Also because you're not stripping your hair of its natural oils you will find you need to wash it less often, at least that has been the case for me.So DON'T apply to unwashed dry hair, it will just come off straight away when your next shampoo. Prepare your hair with a good shampoo designed to remove residual product, towel dry, then apply dye.Use a gentle sulphate free shampoo between dyes. I think you'll be much happier with the longer lasting results.
Not Temporary Color!!!
1After spending almost 3 years growing through my silver hairs I thought during lock down I would try a temporary color.Your product states"If you like your hair color, want to keep it unchanged and afraid of the root effect sprial this temporary color gel is the ideal solution to cover your grays freely"Perfect I thought..WRONG! I am now in a root spiral again!!! Luckily I have documented my first change of going grey over 2 years in an online blog aswell as on pinterest..this product has set me back over 2 years of going through the root effect spiral and your words are completely untrue. I have photos to document my before your product and now afterwards too.I am seeking legal advice.
Not for hair with lots of grey
2I ended up using the entire bottle as I needed to re-apply. This did not cover or blend away my grey hair. It turned them a yellow -golden (brassy) colour which was not good at all. Even with a further application, it did not blend away my grey.It was easy to apply and well packaged, but quite expensive seeing as it didnt work. I ended up buying a much cheaper brand to cover my roots. Very disappointing. I did think about trying the darker shade but I didnt want to risk it.
Natural hair lights if lot of grays
4Product delivered 97% of gray hair coverage... I have 3 silver Milky Ways (temples and upper high near the part line) so it was a bit much to ask a full coverage AND natural effect. BUT it gave me a nice color and few highlights where the Milky Ways were. Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffanys look. I have not washed it yet. TBC.Easy application. Toothbrush is genious! All in one box so no big prep. Just cover your sink and other usual color preparation logistics. No bad smell. No itch. No tainted skin. No splashes of colors everywhere (apply with brush if you have bunches of gray hair).Did a double up with the Chesnut Mask on the ends. Also quality vs quantity: take your time, prep your hair well and it will do the job w/o waisting product.Would repurchase.Note aside: I have also ordered the Ash Brown Gel and Mask to compare (I am a brunette in between dark and chestnut). TBC.Thank you Christophe Robin!
Greys
4I am thrilled about the temporary color gel - it is gentle to my hair, easy to apply, the colour looks great and very natural, I really like it. While I understand that it is a temporary color, I wish it lasts longer on my grey roots, which is my major concern. The coverage is great after application, however, washes away almost completely with first shampooning. I would love to use your products should they last longer on the greys as I like my natural hair colour and wish to avoid permanent colouring at the hairdresser every six weeks or so.
save your money
1I read numerous reviews that said this product did not provide any coverage and was way too warm but as someone with lots of gray always looking for a way to extend the life of my color I thought I’d give it a try. I wish I had saved my money. This product did not provide any coverage and the color should be renamed COPPER RED. Gray hair does not need RED, I’m not sure who could possibly benefit from this product. Please go back to the drawing board with this one and reformulate the color and coverage. This has to stay on way too long and did nothing but make my scalp look orange. not a good look.
